Early Learning Toys are designed to help your child develop at an early age. They are often targetted at specific skills, such as creativity, reading/writing, imagination or motor skills. Below are some of the skills that you may want your child to develop, and some ideas for toys that can help them.
Younger children may like some simple etch-a-sketh type toys, or other drawing toys. Older children may like more detailed art and craft toys, containing glitters, glue, etc.
Rattles, blocks and other simple, manual toys are good for young babies/toddlers, while older children would like jigsaws, mechano or models they have to build.
For young children you could try wooden shape sorters, stacking cups or simple wooden puzzles. For older children you could try big floor puzzles, teaching clocks, or games like Connect Four or Snakes and Ladders.
If you visit the ELC website you will find a lot of ELC toys, all categorised to allow you to find exactly what you want.

ELC is a UK chain of stores selling toys, books and other things for young children. The ELC was a mail order company originally, set up in the 1970s, but has grown into a major retail chain with well over 200 shops in the U.K. and nearly 100 in many other countries around the World.
The ELC was bought by Mothercare, who have continued to expand the Early Learning Center by opening more shops.
EarlyLearningCentre works closely with RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) to make sure their toys are as safe as possible.
